The Princess Royal at H.M.S. Collingwood

What we in the Navy call a "stone frigate", not a warship, but a commissioned shore establishment that trains young sailors. The last such vessel to be called HMS Collingwood was a Dreadnaught battleship that saw action at Jutland.

  2. And as for Collingwood the man, that would be Admiral Collingwood who was Nelson's second-in-command at Trafalgar, and who became Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet when Nelson died. HMS Sovereign was his flagship.
