Grand Cross's star of the Order of the British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V. The Order's motto is For God and the Empire. It is the most junior of the British (Commonwealth) orders of chivalry, and the largest, with over 100,000 living members worldwide.
Hopefully the Jacobins will not get their way and turn it into the Order of British Excellence. Parliament mercifully failed to do this back in 2005.
ReplyDeleteYou know, not a drop of english blood taints my pure french veins. Yet I find myself often defending the rights and honour of the Queen of Canada and various lesser states. I'm amazed how people would give up so much history....just for polical correctness. Curious is the Order of the Empire even given to Canadians cause I can't recall anybody ever winning!!!!
