Do you know how many times I've seen this movie, Beaverbrook? The great shame is that they've decided not to make a sequel. It did well, but not well enough. There in a nutshell is what's wrong with the modern world. For the record I get seasick on dry land, yet still I like navy.
That is a shame. No doubt you own the DVD, as I do, along with the Caine Mutiny and all three Mutiny on the Bountys. It's amazing that Nelson himself has never made it to the wide screen.
The DVD for Master and the Caine Mutiny. I don't have any of the three Bountys, though I'm partial to the Brando version. As for Nelson on the screen, Olivier played him in That Hamilton Woman! There's another version of the Nelson-Hamilton affair from the 1970s, but I can't remember it for the life of me.

I think the 1970s Nelson film I saw was this one:

Neither, of course, are really navy films. But Nelson nonetheless.
You bet they sang in the navy. Here's a traditional naval song that sailors sang during the Napoleonic era.
