  1. A wonderful ceremony to be sure, just a shame about the Labour party quasi-socialist drivel Brown forced Her Majesty to utter. Of course Her Majesty keeps her political opinions firmly to herself, but I strongly doubt she finds much appealing about modern Britain under Labour.

  2. Bercow's Commons tie looks naff on such a formal occasion. Very disappointing he didn't wear the full gear - even his predecessor did on such occasions (excl. the wig).

  3. The show certainly puts the Canadian version to shame. What a dull, colonial opening of parliament Ottawa has, with business suits and blackberrys. Then again, one wouldn't want to inflate the Governor General's ego any further by surrounding her with more elaborate trappings of state.

  4. Does anyone know where I could find higher resolution photographs of the above? I've been looking and have yet to find any.

  6. Her Majesty looks ill. Time to pray, methinks.

  7. I love the pomp and colors, but who is the ridiculously looking woman with the sword and mace?

Fashionable Leftism has corrupted our societies so extensively, people no longer are even embarrassed by the ridiculous.
