I have through several years now been using my pen in defense of an older order – an order distinctly different from the one in which we all live.
Along the way, although there of course are exceptions, I have met very little understanding for the worldview which I advocate. I find that I am standing still. I am not moving. Not forward. Not backwards. Not anywhere.
This world consists of people – almost of all ages – proudly exhibiting their underwear in all sorts of public places, successfully asserting their right to political equality, but at least the world is moving forward.
I see that those claiming monarchy to belong in the past may have a big point – at least when it comes to the kind of monarchy that I advocate. In any case, my viewpoint and my writing is getting neither me nor my cause anywhere.
It has been fun.
But it is time now for me and the world to move on. As Dr. Paul Craig Roberts did just a few days ago, I am signing off!

ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one who has faded or is fading gently into the night. We all are, including yours truly, as evidenced by the lack of posting. I am struggling to come to terms with it, and thought that, in time, the phase would pass. It has not, and I am left to sort out through a long period of introspection.
Thank you very much for your contributions here. I am saddened that you are leaving us, but best wishes to you wherever your other passions take you.

I have greatly enjoyed from afar your contributions to TM and can only echo the previous contributors in suggesting that you will be sorely missed: indeed, I had rather hoped that this was an April Fool, and that when I clicked "read more" there would be some sort of cartoon image proudly proclaiming that you had fooled us all. I do hope that we might perhaps see you occasionally on here in the future.

There is some truth to this post.
There is indeed a lot on my agenda. I have a day job (in a broader sense than defined by Wikipedia). I am in addition an officer within a non-profit organization which has little -- if anything -- directly to do with my being a DPUGOT. Also, I have an extensive physical fitness program.
All this and more makes the time available for being a DPUGOT (doubleplus ungood oldthinker), with the research, study, writing, etc. that comes with it, very limited.
But quit or surrender? No!
