I hope Her Majesty dosn't often have to listen to speeches like that speech by the Speaker of the House of Commons. The Barnoess D'sousa's speech was better in that it didn't imply that change is always good,as did Mr. Cameron's speech. Either way, God bless your Queen. She seems, to my American eye, at least, to have done a good job, and shown herself worthy not just by birth but by work.
Republicans say: Monarchy is irrelevant. In June 2012 you can see the silent majority still value its Queen and Monarchy. No president gets such admiration and approval. Who knows the name of the italian, austrian or german president? If you want to know which heads of state are irrelevant in the peoples mind, then come to Germany. I exchange immediately our interchangeable heads for a monarch like Queen Elizabeth honoured and known everywhere.GSTQ from Germany!

ReplyDeleteYes, the Commons Speaker could have spared us some of his phrases, sir.
