Problem with putting this to music is that it presumes that the reader can read all the text in a quote in the time allotted. Any slowness forces the use of the pause button and the interruption of the music, which is a bit of a shame.
So wonderful to read the glwoing pro monarchy comments in the Times today - every time they try their sour republican ruse they get shot down in flames. I requote here one such comment:

I get emotional when I see the love and respect for our Royal family around the world. We are so fortunate in this country to have a monarchy that gives us continuity down through the years in a way no president ever can. But when I read the stuff printed by this and other papers that tries to discredit them, as we have seen recently, my blood boils. and I wonder why they have to stoop that low just for a few column inches, then you read a story like this and you realise they really have no scruples what so ever. Great pity.
(in reference to a now glowing report on the monarchy following Prince William's NZ visit)

And thank you Sirs for the medley of quotes. Most illuminating
ReplyDeleteI understand the problem of reading speed. Also, I do not know the tune.
